Experience the beauty, culture, music, and traditions of Hinduism during Ganesh Mahotsavam 2026 at Shri Shiva Dham Hindu Temple Orlando. From September 14 through September 20, the Orlando community is invited to take part in a week-long celebration honoring Lord Ganesha, one of the most recognized figures in Hindu tradition and a symbol of wisdom, prosperity, new beginnings, and overcoming obstacles. You do not have to be Hindu to attend. This celebration is open to everyone, including families, friends, neighbors, and anyone who would simply like to experience something new, learn about another culture, or enjoy an evening of music, spirituality, and community. Each evening from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM, guests can experience traditional Hindu prayer ceremonies, peaceful mantra chanting, devotional music, group singing, and Aarti, a beautiful ceremony involving light and prayer. The daily program includes: • Ganapati Pooja – a traditional prayer ceremony honoring Lord Ganesha • Mool Mantra Japam – peaceful repetition of sacred mantras • Ganapati Atharva Sheersham – traditional prayers dedicated to Lord Ganesha • Bhajan & Kirtan – devotional music and group singing • Aarti – a traditional ceremony of light, prayer, and gratitude Even if you have never stepped inside a Hindu temple before, you are welcome to come, observe, ask questions, meet members of the community, and experience the celebration. Special Closing Celebration – Sunday, September 20 The week concludes with Ganesh Visarjan, a special tradition marking the ceremonial farewell to Lord Ganesha. Participants will leave the temple at 8:00 AM and travel together to Lori Wilson Park in Cocoa Beach, where the celebration will continue with Ganesh Visarjan and a community picnic at the beach.
